I couldn't be more excited to kick off the summer with an impressive showcase at Rumor Designs, one of the premiere Interior Design firms in downtown Steamboat Springs Colorado.

I'll be showcasing ten pieces throughout the month of July, starting with First Friday Art Walk July 5th from 5-8pm.  From traditional landscapes to surreal concepts captured under the cover of night, I'm certain these pieces will captivate you, some of them sized to nearly 100".

Artwork Release: Grizzly Night

Today I'm excited to announce a new piece to my artwork portfolio, Grizzly Night! This photograph took over two years to pursue and three consecutive nights shooting when conditions finally lined up. This was a 3.5 minute exposure in near darkness, utilizing a graduated neutral density filter to darken the sky and illuminating the trees with an aerial light painting technique. 

This is a limited edition of 100 pieces. Regardless of artwork style or size, each piece counts toward the total. Once 100 pieces are sold, this photograph will never be printed again.

Exploring the Badlands - South Dakota

Within the empty space lies a silent friendship however, a bond with the environment. This bond requires no words, no explanation. Although intimidating, these environments often provide peace and clarity, in a strange way I feel acceptance in a way no human could ever offer. Overwhelmed by the power of nature, one must respect it's power, accepting vulnerability. There's simply no choice but to comply, eliminating the ego and replacing it with a foundational awareness. Extreme environments only accept humility, and through submissiveness, a bond is born of mutual respect, a companionship that guides safe passage.
